I live in a mixed household whose members are philosophical Buddhists, non-denominational Christians, and secular enjoyers of Christmas. It can make decorating difficult to make everyone feel included. Additionally, we weren’t able to put up our regular Christmas tree this year because a stray cat had kittens in our dining room a few days after we adopted her and those kittens would have murdered our regular Christmas tree. We need a substitute smaller tree this year.
This tree came out if the box ready to plug in after putting the star on the top. The cord with bulb at the end pops in and out of the bottom of the tree via a circular hole. Bulbs don’t last forever, so it’s good that changing them is so easy. This tree would look good with traditional christian Christmas decor or any of the many winter holidays. The all white tree with white bulbs gave it a very clean-lined and sleek Scandinavian holiday look, which I like since Christmas decorations can look a little busy. I’ve seen similar trees in the all white look at stores for over twice the price, if not more and they weren’t even this large. The light is a comforting warm white and made an excellent nightlight. It would look absolutely beautiful in a little kid’s bedroom as a nightlight during the holiday season.
The craftmanship was very good. Everything worked properly and the pottery glaze on the outside of the tree had no blemishes. I’m thinking of buying a few more for gifts for my sister and cousins; our grandmother had a very similar ceramic Christmas tree and I’m sure it would be very nostalgic for them. The box and packaging the tree came in was extremely sturdy and I’ll be using it to repack the tree before putting it into my large, plastic storage containers with the rest of my holiday decorations.
I’m 100% happy with this ceramic “grandma” Christmas tree and would definitely buy it again!

I wanted to update my review for anyone who might be hesitant like I was, concerned that the tree wouldn’t be a worthwhile purchase. I’m also including a photo. The tree has definitely helped lift my post-Christmas blues. I’ve added a red heart for Valentine’s Day and plan to put a green clover on top for St. Patrick’s Day, then I’ll be ready for spring and store it away until next year.
